Bitten Toast Games announced that their next game, Garden Paws, is now in closed alpha stage and will launch on December for PC. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch in a later moment.
The developers are planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign for Garden Paws in the next month. “It is the biggest game Bitten Toast has developed”, tells Daniel Snd, founder of the studio. The game dev team is formed by him, Kristina Vandale (level and game design) and Thiago Adamo (audio design).
Inspired by Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, Garden Paws is a management game where you inherit your grandparents’ farm as they set off to travel around the world. You have to aid other characters in building up the town so it can reach its full potential.
In order to get money to build the farm and the city, you must explore the islands around the town and its caves to collect everything, from flowers to poop, to sell in your shop. Over time and with each building built, new townsfolk sail to the island with new items and quests.

“It is a very different game from the previous titles we developed,” Daniel says. “It is a very Zen and without pressure game about farming, gathering, taming and crafting.” Previous games from Bitten Toast are competitive multiplayer games like Rocket Fist and What the Box.
“We did not find in our research a game of this genre in 3D,” he explains. Daniel thinks the graphics will be a great differential for Garden Paws. “The closest to what we are trying to do here is My Time at Portia, but this one focuses much more on crafting than on farming or taming.”
